India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson posted a cryptic tweet after being ignored for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. Samson wasn't included in the T20I squad which was announced by BCCI on Tuesday (November 9).

Samson is in good form with the bat for Kerala in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, and he has scores of 54*, 45*, 6, 14, and 56* in the tournament. Even in the recently concluded IPL 2021, he played some eye-catching knocks.

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain smashed 484 runs with a strike rate of 136.72 and an average of 40.33. It included two half-centuries and a hundred against Punjab Kings.

But still, the 26-year-old couldn't find a spot in the 16-member squad for the series against the Kiwis. Samson posted a collage of pictures that included his outstanding fielding efforts near the boundary.

Fans believe fitness could be a reason cited by the selectors to leave out Samson and hence the post taking a subtle dig. He was recently given an opportunity on the Sri Lanka tour, where the youngster also made his ODI debut.

India's senior batter Rohit Sharma will captain the team against New Zealand while his opening partner KL Rahul will be his deputy. Virat Kohli has already left the T20I captaincy and he is being rested for the series.
