England defeated Bangladesh in the 2021 T20 World Cup Super 12 match by 8 wickets and went to the top of the Group 1 points table. After England's comfortable victory, former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer engaged in a Twitter banter with ex-English skipper Michael Vaughan.

Jaffer posted a tweet and asked Vaughan if England are favorites to win the trophy after this win or not? Usually, the Englishman keeps coming up with a contender for the title and Jaffer pulled his leg.

"Another clinical win by @ECB_cricket. They look so strong at the moment. England favorites to win the cup @MichaelVaughan? #EngvsBan #T20WorldCup2021," the former Indian opener wrote.

Responding to Jaffer's tweet, Vaughan tried to give it back by reminding him of India's defeat in their first match against Pakistan. "Pakistan after they hammered the outright favorites India Wasim ..," he responded.

In return, Jaffer shared a hilarious meme from the movie 'Deshdrohi' after Vaughan called Pakistan as favorites to win the trophy. Twitterati feels Vaughan's tweets usually jinx a team.

England were chasing 125 runs against Bangladesh and their opener Jason Roy played a crucial knock of 61 runs in their victory. They dominated the match and chased the low target of 125 in just 14.1 overs.

Without any doubt, England are among the favorites to win the 2021 T20 World Cup despite missing out on top players like Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes.
