Pakistan information minister Fawad Chaudhry had accused India of sabotaging New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan citing that the security threat email which the New Zealand Cricket received was sent from an Indian IP address via Singapore.

New Zealand team management canceled their white-ball tour on the day of the first ODI in Rawalpindi against Pakistan. They left for Dubai the same day via Islamabad, despite Pakistan’s pleas to reconsider.

On Wednesday, however, the Pakistan government took the formal step of naming India as the perpetrator behind the threatening emails sent to the New Zealand contingent, including to the wife of batter Martin Guptill.

However, funnily, the name of viral Indian rapper Om Prakash Mishra started trending after Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry made the accusations against India in a press conference. In the press conference.

Chaudhry stated that the threats were issued using fake email addresses with the name Hamza Afridi while employing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that showed Singapore being shown as the location.

"The device used to send the threat to the New Zealand team belonged to India. A fake ID was used but it was sent from Maharashtra," Chaudhry was quoted as saying.  

However, netizens' eagle eyes noticed the name of Om Prakash Mishra and a screengrab from one of his videos coming up in the visuals that came up in Chaudhry’s announcement.
