Indian cricketers wish everyone on the holy occasion of Janmashtami

It is renowned all across Northern India to mark the birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

Bhagwan Krishna is believed to be the 8th incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu on Earth and is said to be born on the eighth day of Shravan month. On the auspicious occasion, people enact dance-dramas based on the life of Krishna according to Bhagavata Purana, sing devotional songs throughout midnight, and fast through the day.

The next day is the occasion of Dahi Handi in which a pot filled with curd is hung on a rope at a decent height and people of all ages including children attempt to break it by forming a human pyramid in order to reach the pot and break it.

Indian cricket fraternity was also enthusiastic and wished their fans on Twitter on holy occasion of Janmashtami.
