India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar on Friday (August 27) remembered Sir Don Bradman on his birth anniversary. He posted a tweet for the legendary cricketer and wrote that Bradman has inspired sportswomen and men forever.

"The folklore of Sir Don Bradman’s batting genius is synonymous with excellence in sports. You will continue to inspire sportswomen and men forever. Thinking of you, Sir Don on your birth anniversary," Tendulkar tweeted.

Another Indian cricket hero, Yuvraj Singh, who was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup wins, tweeted happy birthday for the former Australia cricketer. He wrote that Bradman left behind a legacy of pure inspiration.

"Fondly remembering the great Sir Donald Bradman on his birthday. One of the greatest ever to have played the game who left behind a legacy of pure inspiration! #HappyBirthdayDonaldBradman," the tweet read.

Bradman made his debut for Australia at Brisbane in 1928 against England. He played his last match at The Oval in 1948. Famous for his batting average of 99.94, the Aussie had scored 29 hundred in his 52-match long career. 

"29 centuries in 52 Test matches, at an average of 99.94. Sir Donald Bradman, forever unrivalled, born on this day in 1908," ICC tweeted for the cricket legend.

Bradman died at the age of 92 on February 25, 2001, at Kensington Park, Adelaide.
