Team India members extend greetings on India's 75th Independence Day

Team India members took to Twitter to greet the nation on the 75th Independence Day. The likes of Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal posted tweets wishing their countrymen on the occasion.

"To be a part of this glorious country and to get the chance to represent it is the greatest gift I have received. Let's remember all those who put India's independence ahead of themselves and gave us freedom. #HappyIndependenceDay," Pant wrote on Twitter.

The Indian cricket team is currently playing a five-match Test series against England. Pant is part of India's Test squad which also features Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami.

Shami, in his post, added a video of his daughter Aairah who can be seen with an Indian flag. "Today is a day to feel proud about being a part of this great nation. May this spirit of freedom leads us all to success and glory in life. Happy Independence Day! #mdshami11 #aairahshami17 #indiaIndependenceday," he tweeted.

Ishant wrote that there isn't another country like India in the world. He remembered the sacrifice of India's brave hearts for freedom.

"Saare jag me kahin nahi hai dusara #Hindustan!???????? This #IndependenceDay2021, let’s take a moment to value our nation and never forget the supreme sacrifices made by our brave hearts to give us freedom, today. Jai Hind!???????????? #IndependenceDayIndia," the tweet read.

Shikhar posed with a huge Indian flag to wish the Indians around the world on Independence Day. "To my fellow Indians, a very happy #IndependenceDay! I’ll always go out there and do my best for my country! Jai Hind ????????," he wrote.
