"Miss you captain cool!" Fans remember MS Dhoni on his first retirement anniversary

MS Dhoni had announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020.

It was August 15, 2020, when the Indian cricket team's most successful captain MS Dhoni bid adieu to international cricket. He had surprised his fans by announcing retirement at 07:29 PM IST on India's 74th Independence Day.

Dhoni, who isn't much active on social media, had announced his retirement through an Instagram post. He captioned the post, "Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired."

Dhoni played his last match for India against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semifinal. He never featured in the Indian cricket team again, and after over a year, the 40-year-old quit international cricket.

Indian cricket fans remembered his illustrious career on the first anniversary of his retirement. Dhoni is still active as a cricketer and plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL.
