India's head coach Ravi Shastri has reportedly informed some BCCI members that he is planning to part ways with the Indian cricket team after the upcoming T20 World Cup when his tenure ends. The contract of other coaching staff also ends at the same time and there might be a revamp in the coaching setup.
Shastri first took over the Indian cricket team in 2014 as director till the T20 World Cup in 2016. He later rejoined the Indian cricket team as a full-time coach in 2017 after Anil Kumble stepped down.

Twitterati reacted to the reports of Shastri's decision to not continue as the head coach. There were mixed responses by the fans. While some felt he was the ideal man for Virat Kohli and co, few of them think India needs a new coach.
India has won the Test series in Australia twice under the coaching of Shastri and they also reached the ICC World Test Championship final. Apart from it, they reached the semifinal of the World Cup in 2019.
