England batsman Alex Hales got hit on the groin by a cricket ball twice during Trent Rockets' clash with Oval Invincibles in The Hundred on Sunday (August 8). Hales tried to play the ball on the leg side on both occasions but ended up missing the deliveries completely.

The incident happened when Hales was facing Reece Topley in the 65-ball match. He was on the ground in pain and discomfort after being hit but the 32-year-old decided to continue batting.

Funnily, The Hundred's official Twitter account shared the clip on Twitter with the caption, "Every... ball... counts?", which is also their tagline.

Liam Livingstone posted a tweet after the incident and the English cricketer wrote that he understands his pain. "???????????????????????? I feel you Alex ????," he tweeted.

Livingstone had experienced something similar in the past. He was hit multiple times on the groin during a Big Bash League match.

Hales’ team-mate Sam Cook joked on the incident after the match and said, “I think Alex Hales is still rolling around in the changing room. To get one in that area is bad enough but to get two in a row is tough. He’s talking to us with a high voice!”.
