Team India skipper Virat Kohli in a candid chat with fellow cricketer Dinesh Karthik for Sky Sports, talked about a lot of topics including missing that his father not being around to see his daughter Vamika, his first interaction with his wife Anushka Sharma.
Kohli’s father Prem passed away due to a cardiac arrest back in 2006. In a short clip uploaded by the Tamil Nadu-based batsman Karthik on Twitter, the Indian skipper confessed that he did miss his father and the fact that he could not be around to see his granddaughter Vamika.
I called Sachin Tendulkar and asked for his help after dismal 2014 England Tests: Virat Kohli
“He hasn’t seen me play. Now with our daughter, I have seen the happiness on my mother’s face. You sit down and think what if he was still here,” Kohli told the wicketkeeper-batsman in their interview.

The Delhi-based batsman then talked about his first interaction with the Bollywood actress and now his wife Anushka Sharma and recalled how they both just connected when the cricketer just joked around her.
“I joke around with everyone. I was joking around with her as well. She said, ‘it was the first time I saw someone around me joking about the things I have experienced as a child.’ So, that really connected,” the 32-year-old signed off.
