India all-rounder Krunal Pandya who had tested positive for COVID-19 during the recently concluded white-ball tour of Sri Lanka has now returned to India after completing the mandatory isolation and returning negative tests.
The cricketer completed the mandatory seven-day isolation period, followed by two negative RT-PCR reports. He touched down in Mumbai on August 5, Thursday. The video of Krunal coming out from the airport was shared by photojournalist Viral Biyani.

After the southpaw’s COVID-19 positive test result, 8 players were identified as his close contacts and had to go in isolation. While some of them reported negative results, Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham were found to be COVID-19 positive.
While the Indian contingent returned to India on July 30, Chahal and Gowtham had to stay back in the island nation. The two India players are expected to undergo two RT-PCR tests on Thursday and can return to India after testing negative.
