Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya has ensured India a medal at the Tokyo Olympics by qualifying for the 57kg weight category wrestling final. Dahiya showed terrific mental and physical strength to turn the outcome in his favor.
Down 9-2 with less than two minutes to be played in the semifinal, Dahiya came back strongly and quickly added five more points in his tally. It was still 7-9 for him with very little time left in the match.

Dahiya then came with his best move to defeat his opponent Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev by fall. Indian fans were delighted after the turnaround in the match, however, later they were left furious after finding out about cheap tactics from the Kazak wrestler.
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag posted a tweet and revealed that Sanayev was biting Dahiya on his arm when the Indian grappler was on the verge of pinning him down.
Sehwag went on to label Sanayev's act as "disgraceful" and he wrote, "How unfair is this, couldn't hit our #RaviDahiya's spirit, so bit his hand. Disgraceful Kazakh loser Nurislam Sanayev. Ghazab Ravi, bahut seena chaunda kiya aapne #Wrestling."
Dahiya is the first to enter the final since Sushil Kumar in 2012 and he has a good opportunity to secure gold for his country by defeating a tough opponent from Russian Olympic Committee, Zaur Uguev on Thursday (August 5).
