WATCH - Sachin Tendulkar reacts to a little girl imitating Olympic medallist Mirabai Chanu

India cricket great Sachin Tendulkar reacted to the viral video of a little girl imitating the Tokyo Olympics silver-medallist Mirabai Chanu. She can be seen copying Mirabai when the latter took part in the women's 49kg weightlifting event in the Olympics.

Mirabai became the first Indian athlete to win a medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Such moments inspire a lot of youngsters to follow the sport passionately and take it as a career.

Reacting to the video of the little girl, Tendulkar wrote this may be the start of a new journey. "This is how the journey begins," he tweeted. 

Earlier, Mirabai also reacted to the video and posted, "So cute. Just love this." The Manipur government has announced a Rs 1 crore cash reward for the silver medallist. 

The 26-year-old lifted a total of 202kg (87kg+115kg) to better Karnam Malleswari's bronze in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She hails from Nongpok Kakching village at the foothills of Imphal East district in Manipur.
