England cricket team played really well against Pakistan as the former defeated touring Babar Azam and Co. in the third T20I to win the series 2-1. Earlier, an inexperienced English team had whitewashed the Men in Green in the three-match ODI series ahead of the T20 series.
As the matches are being played in front of spectators without any COVID-19 norms, during the final T20I between England and Pakistan at Old Trafford in Manchester on Tuesday (20 July), an English fan decided to propose to his girlfriend in front of a capacity crowd.

England Cricket Board (ECB) shared the video of the incident where the camera panned on the gentleman as he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend.
A small graphic reading ‘Decision Pending’ appeared as the lady was surprised amid a cricket match.
“Decision Pending... She said YES! Congrats Phil and Jill,” ECB captioned the video on social media.

The incident happened before the beginning of the 10th over which was bowled by Moeen Ali while Mohammad Rizwan along with Fakhar Zaman was at the crease.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Pakistan only managed to post a total of 154/6 in their quota of 20 overs with wicket-keeper batsman top-scoring with his unbeaten knock of 76 runs off 57 deliveries.
Hosts England on the other hand managed to win the close encounter by chasing down the target of 155 runs by 3 wickets with just 2 balls to spare. While Jason Roy top-scored from England with 64 runs to his name off 36 balls, Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez picked 3-28 in his 4 overs.
