Sri Lanka cricket great Kumar Sangakkara called former India captain MS Dhoni the quickest in the world when it comes to wicket-keeping. Dhoni turned 40 on Wednesday (July 7) and ICC posted a montage of his stumpings on Twitter.

In the video, ICC wrote "MS Dhoni: The Quickest Hands in the East". Although the compilation of stumping was perfect, Sangakkara found a fault in the caption. He said Dhoni not only had the fastest hands in the east but the whole world.

"'Only for a fraction of a second and Dhoni, like lightning, had those bails off.' Happy birthday to one of the sharpest keepers in cricket history," ICC wrote.

Sangakkara, who himself was one of the finest wicketkeeper-batsmen, praised the birthday boy and replied, "Quickest hands in the world during his time, not just the East."

In ODI cricket, Dhoni has the most stumpings (123), and he is followed by Sangakkara at number two with 99 stumpings. Combining all formats, the ex-India wicket-keeper affected 195 stumpings, again the most among all the wicket-keepers.
