Former England captain Michael Vaughan took a subtle jibe at India's men team through a tweet on Wednesday (June 30). India's women's team were playing against England women's team in the second ODI when Vaughan posted a tweet.
Although the Mithali Raj-led side lost the match by 5 wickets, they fought very well to make the chase of 222 runs hard for the English women team. At one stage, England were five down for 133 runs in 28.5 overs and that's when Vaughan posted a tweet.
The ex-England captain wrote that at least one Indian cricket team can play in English conditions while lauding the women's team for being competitive.
"The Indian women's team are putting in an excellent display today... Good to see at least 1 Indian cricket team can play in English conditions," he tweeted.
Vaughan's dig was at India's poor batting display against New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final. India were bowled out for 217 and 170 runs in the two innings as the Kiwis won the match by 8 wickets.
The 46-year-old never holds back whenever there's an opportunity to take a funny jibe at the Indian cricket team and it does leave the fans furious.
