Proteas bowlers held their nerve during a thrilling run chase to clinch a one-run win over West Indies in the third T20I in Grenada on Tuesday (June 29).

Ace pacer Kagiso Rabada might have conceded 41 runs in his four overs, but it was him who brought South Africa back into the game.

Chasing 168 to win, the hosts were cruising until the 13th over when Rabada produced a stunning yorker to dismiss Kieron Pollard for just 1.

The West Indies skipper, who is regarded as one of the best finishers in the shortest format, was completely outfoxed by Rabada.

Notably, Pollard was looking to work the delivery into the on-side but Rabada adjusted his length brilliantly to get the batsman on the boots, resulting in the ball crashing the leg-stump.

Kagiso Rabada also bowled the last over and defended 15 runs to secure South Africa’s 2-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.

The fourth and fifth T20Is will also be played at the same venue on July 1 and July 3, respectively.
