The official Twitter account of England Cricket shared a clip of their cricketers celebrating the victory after England football team captain Harry Kane scored the second goal.

England were eliminated from 1970, 1990, and 2010 World Cups by Germany. After defeating Germany, England will play the winner between Sweden and Ukraine in the quarter-final at Rome.
The English cricket team also tasted victory on Tuesday against Sri Lanka by 5 wickets. They bundled out the visitors on 185 runs and chased down the target with 91 balls left.
Chris Woakes was the Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 4/18 in 10 overs, which included 5 maiden overs. In the chase, Joe Root was the top scorer with an unbeaten 87-ball 79 runs.
