Former India captain MS Dhoni stayed at the 'Meena Bagh' villa on his vacation in Shimla with family members and friends. Dhoni, before returning home after a comfortable stay, signed the waste woods in the villa after writing an important message to save trees.

The 'Meena Bagh' villa is situated in Ratnari and a few days back, their official Instagram account had posted a few pictures of Dhoni taking a nature walk into the forest.

This time they shared the unseen pictures of Dhoni posing with his written slogan for awareness. "We had some boring slogans but he’s put his signatures to them," they wrote.

Meena Bagh homes also clarified that the wood used to spread awareness is waste wood thrown by the wood mills. "For our tree-hugging activist friends: the wood here is wood thrown by wood mills as waste and is called ‘waste wood’. It’s usually used for bonfires in Himachal’s winter," they added.

Dhoni was given a warm send-off from Ratnari. Aman Singh Thakur, who runs an NGO and is an environmentalist, interacted with Dhoni and his wife

“I gave the traditional Himachal cap to Dhoni sir and a Dhatu (traditional women’s cap) to his wife. They said they loved it here as it is so peaceful and nobody disturbs them. Appreciating the efforts of locals in keeping the place neat and clean, they said they would visit again soon,” Thakur said as quoted by The Tribune India
