Former India captain MS Dhoni is on a vacation with family in Shimla. He has only been playing Indian Premier League (IPL) since the World Cup 2019 and retired from international cricket last year in August.

In the pictures doing rounds on social media, Sakshi, Ziva, and a few of Dhoni's friends can also be seen accompanying them. There is also a clip of the ex-India cricketer taking a look at a cricket bat made in Shimla.

Recently, the Himachal Pradesh government issued an advisory for tourists as travel restrictions were eased in the state after a decline in COVID-19 cases. The government has removed the condition of RT-PCR requirement to enter the state.

Dhoni was in action during the IPL 2021 but unfortunately, the tournament got postponed due to COVID-19. The Bio-bubble of multiple franchises, including Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was breached and BCCI decided not to risk the safety of players by suspending the tournament.

CSK were at number two in the points table with 5 wins from 7 matches. The second leg of the tournament will begin in UAE later this year in September.
