Dhoni has found a new way to stay fit while away from the cricketing action.

Former Indian captain, MS Dhoni was admired for his quick running between the wickets and outstanding fitness in his international career that lasted 15 years. He avoided serious injury despite the heavy workload of keeping and being one of the key batsmen for Team India and his IPL franchises, apart from also having the stress of captaincy for several years.

Dhoni, who formally retired from international cricket in August 2020, now only plays for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL. The wicketkeeper-batsman remains as fit as ever, though his hard-hitting form with the bat has not been as good as before in the last couple of seasons with him not playing any domestic cricket for Jharkhand.

Currently, the CSK captain is spending quality time with his family in Ranchi, at their huge farmhouse. Dhoni, who is an animal lover, and has been seen farming from time to time, recently added a horse named Chetak and then a white pony for daughter Ziva. He also has several pet dogs at the farmhouse.

Sakshi, the cricketer's wife, posted a video clip of him racing with the pony on Saturday (June 12).

IPL 2021 is currently suspended due to the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic that hit India with full force in April-May. CSK are on the second spot with 12 points from 7 matches. The cash-rich T20 league is set to resume in September in UAE and the challenge for Dhoni and his team will be to quickly find the same rhythm they had when first half of the league was played in India.
