Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan's on-field behavior has surprised the cricket fraternity. He can be seen kicking stumps and arguing with the umpire in a video from Dhaka Premier League 2021 doing rounds on the internet.
Shakib was angry after his appeal was turned down by the umpire. He repeated similar behavior in the same match and uprooted the stumps after the umpire stopped the game in the sixth over due to rain.
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag has reacted to the incidents that took place during a game between Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club. He posted a funny picture of Shakib featuring Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She can be seen holding his ear.
Shakib had later apologized for his behavior on social media and wrote he's sorry for ruining the match for everyone. "I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home.
"An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds it happens, unfortunately," he wrote.
