Rajasthan Royals (RR) posted the pictures of Riyan Parag and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni for a trend on social media. Riyan was just six years old when he met Dhoni and the picture went viral on social media platforms after the two played against each other in IPL 2019.
It was the moment when Riyan's idol became his rival which shows the Assam cricketer's hard work. RR took to Twitter and posted the picture with the caption, "You evolve, you learn, you grow."

Riyan had spoken about idolizing Dhoni since he was just 6-7 years old in a chat with his RR teammate Jaydev Unadkat. "I was six or seven years old at the time that picture was taken. I've been idolizing Dhoni since I was 6-7 years old and now bowling to him, setting the field against him, even batting while he was keeping behind, it's just surreal," he said.
Dhoni has also played against Riyan's father, Parag Das, in his first-class debut match. He was part of the Bihar side in the 1999-2000 season of the Ranji Trophy.
It was a clash between Bihar and Assam in an East Zone League when Dhoni had stumped Parag in the second innings after a 24-ball 30. Bihar went on to win by 191 runs.
