India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane celebrated his 33rd birthday on Sunday (June 6) and he received a wholesome wish from the India skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli posted a picture with his deputy on the Instagram story and wished him lots of happiness.
"Happy birthday jinks. Lots of peace, happiness to you, and many more memorable partnerships with you," wrote Kohli on his Instagram story. Both of them are currently on the United Kingdom tour for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand.
After leading Team India to a historic Test series win on the Australia tour, Rahane recently had a poor outing with the bat at home against England in the four-match series.
Indian cricket team would be hoping for Rahane to find his touch back which will be important to tackle the Kiwi pace attack in Southampton. The WTC final begins from June 18.
India will also play England in a five-match Test series starting August 4. Rahane has played 10 matches (20 innings) in England and scored 556 runs at an average of 29.26, including 4 half-centuries and a hundred.
