Australian cricketer David Warner has reunited with his family after completing the mandatory quarantine in Sydney. He was in India for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), but the tournament got postponed due to COVID-19.
While other foreign cricketers returned home from India, Australian players and staff members, who were part of the IPL 2021, had to fly to the Maldives due to the travel ban from India in their country. Warner spent a few days there before finally going to Australia.

Warner was counting down each day to meet his family after a long gap. The emotional moment was shared by his wife Candice on her Instagram story.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman can be seen delighted after reuniting with his daughter and wife. All three daughters welcomed him home and Candice captioned the video, "Welcome home Daddy! @DavidWarner31".
The remaining matches for IPL 2021 will be played in the United Arab Emirates in September and October, as confirmed by the BCCI. The decision was taken at a Special General Meeting (SGM) held virtually.
