Wasim Jaffer posts Imran Khan's meme after netizens panic on Twitter ban hoax

Punjab Kings (PBKS) batting coach Wasim Jaffer reacted to the post by his franchise on Twitter after the rumors of the Twitter ban in India. PBKS posted a tweet featuring Bollywood actor Aamir Khan from the movie '3 Idiots'.

".@WasimJaffer14 to Twitter: Jaane nahi denge tujhe #SaddaPunjab #PunjabKings," wrote Punjab Kings in their tweet. There was panic among the netizens after the reports of Twitter and Facebook getting banned by the Indian government.

But as per the new IT rules, these social media platforms will not be banned in the country anytime soon. The new Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, also known as the new IT Rules 2021, has come into effect from May 26. The new rule gives the social media networks a three-month window to comply with the guidelines of the government.

Jaffer responded to Punjab Kings' tweet with a famous meme of Pakistan's Prime Minister and former cricket team captain Imran Khan. "Ghabrana nahi hain," read the meme.

The ex-India batsman is popular among the fans for his clean and funny memes. He has been producing hilarious content since the last Indian Premier League and his social media following has increased rapidly in just a few months.
