Today is Eid-Ul-Fitr, a holy day for followers of Islam all over the world. It marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

The date for the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on when the new moon is sighted by local religious authorities, so the day of celebration varies by locality.

After a month of fasting, the Muslim community celebrates this occasion with delight and cheerfulness. It propagates the idea of brotherhood and peace and harmony and our cricketing community is no behind in celebrating the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
