West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle got emotional while listening to a song named 'Mama' by Mavado on Mother's Day. Gayle shared Instagram stories as he was missing his mother, who passed away in 2018 due to heart attack.

Tears can be seen rolling down Gayle's face as he listened to the song. He wrote that it's important to keep your loved ones close and take out time to tell them how much they mean to you.

"Deep thoughts.. Mom you memories will live on forever! We had fun and you're fun.. I'll continue that legacy mom! Live life to the fullest! I know you wanted to tell me a lot before you go. 

"I'm sorry. Imma fight on because you're a fighter.. You been through the struggle to make us all eat! We'll talk more, see you on the other side mom. Love always (SIC)," he wrote in his Instagram story with a series of clips.

Gayle is always cheerful and he makes sure to keep everyone entertained around him. But the Caribbean superstar was feeling his mother's absence on the special day.

Earlier on the same day, the 41-year-old had posted wishes for Mother's Day on his Twitter account. "Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mom’s out there. Have a lovely day," he wrote.
