Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen and West Indies batsman Chris Gayle engaged in banter on Twitter. Pietersen posted a shirtless picture of him which received a comment from the Caribbean cricketer.

Sharing the photo from the beach of Maldives, Pietersen wrote, "The Red List". The caption is a reference to the UK putting the Maldives in ‘Red List’ countries. If someone arrives in the UK from the Maldives they will be put in mandatory isolation.

Gayle pulled Pietersen's leg over his belly and wrote that he is sucking in his tummy to look fit in the picture. “Believe me ppl…he’s sucking in the tummy – it’s actually worst in person you’re the Red list, @KP24,” he wrote. 

Pietersen was in India for Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). He was part of the commentary panel but unfortunately, the tournament got suspended after the bio-bubble breach in multiple franchises.

Talking about Gayle, the explosive batsman is a member of Punjab Kings (PBKS) and he had an ordinary IPL 2021 with the bat. The southpaw could only get a couple of good knocks but didn't score a half-century in seven innings before the suspension of the tournament.
