India's Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and his wife Radhika have got the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Rahane shared the news on his official Instagram account and attached pictures while getting vaccinated.
Rahane urged everyone to get vaccinated if they are eligible for the dose. He also added that they got the jab not only for themselves but also for the people around them.

"Both me and @radhika_dhopavkar got our first dose of the vaccine today. We're getting vaccinated not only for ourselves but also for those around us. I urge everyone to get vaccinated if you're eligible," Rahane captioned the post on Saturday (May 8).
Frontline warriors and senior citizens were first to get vaccinated before it was made available for the 45+ age groups and now for the citizens over 18. Those who want to get vaccinated will have to register on COWIN.gov.in.
After the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) got postponed, Rahane will now be seen in action during the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand and the Test series against England from next month.
