IPL 2021: "Don't schedule international games when 'biggest show' IPL is on," says Kevin Pietersen

Former English skipper Kevin Pietersen took to his Twitter handle and urged cricket boards all over the world to not schedule any international games during Indian Premier League (IPL). 

After being held in UAE last year, the most lucrative T20 league, IPL, is all set to commence from 9th April in India. 

Just two days after the conclusion of IPL 14, England cricket team will lock horns against New Zealand in a two-match home series, starting June 2. 

It is however, learned that many English players are reportedly in a dilemma that if the teams they represent reach the IPL playoffs, they would have to either miss the final or skip national duty.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has urged cricket boards all over the world to forgo scheduling any international cricket during the cash-rich tournament. The 40-year-old called IPL 'biggest show in town' and urged all the boards to realise its importance.

"Cricket boards need to realise that the @IPL is the biggest show in town. DO NOT schedule ANY international games whilst it's on. V v v simple,” Kevin Pietersen Tweeted. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2021 tournament opener in Chennai on April 9.
