India opener Shikhar Dhawan made an Instagram story after he and Rohit Sharma became only the second Indian pair to score 5000 partnership runs in ODIs.

Dhawan shared a picture with his batting partner and expressed his happiness over the achievement. They achieved this feat during the third ODI between India and England at Pune. They scored 103 runs for the first wicket.

"5000 Partnership runs. Not bad eh partner @RohitSharma45", wrote Dhawan while sharing the picture.

Dhawan and Rohit have been opening for India together since 2013. They are only behind Sourav Ganguly and Sachin Tendulkar's iconic opening pair in terms of number among Indian opening duos.

Currently, both Dhawan and Rohit are busy in preparation for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

While Rohit-led Mumbai Indians will play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament opener on April 9, Dhawan's Delhi Capitals, who announced Rishabh Pant as captain for this season, will face Chennai Super Kings on April 10.
