"Get well soon buddy," Shoaib Akhtar wishes Sachin Tendulkar a speedy recovery from COVID-19

Sachin Tendulkar was tested positive for COVID-19 after he returned playing Road Safety World Series.

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar posted a message for his 'rival' during playing days, the Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar, after the latter got tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday (March 28).

Akhtar posted a picture with Tendulkar on his Twitter account and wished for his speedy recovery. "One of my favorite rivalries on the ground. Get well soon buddy @sachin_rt", the tweet read.

Tendulkar had announced the news of his COVID-19 report with fans on Twitter. He had said there was a mild symptom and the doctor advised him to stay in isolation. 

"I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I've tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative."

"I've quarantined myself at home and am following all necessary protocols as advised by my doctors," he added.

Apart from Tendulkar, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, and S Badrinath have been tested positive for Coronavirus. They all were part of the Road Safety World Series 2021, which India Legends won.
