Twitterverse reacts as Pathan brothers and Yuvraj Singh help India Legends win Road Safety World Series 2021

India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends in the final by 14 runs.

Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan hammered Sri Lanka Legends bowling | RSWSIndia Legends and Sri Lanka Legends met in the final of the Road Safety World series 2021 which was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. Sachin Tendulkar and Tillakaratne Dilshan faced off in the finale to crown the champions.

Dilshan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Virender Sehwag fell for 10 runs, while captain Sachin Tendulkar made 30, with S Badrinath falling for 7 runs. While India Legends looked in a spot of bother at 78/3 in 10 overs, Yuvraj Singh came together with Yusuf Pathan and hammered the Sri Lanka Legends bowlers.

Yuvraj made 60 in 41 balls with 4 sixes and 4 fours, while Yusuf made 62* in 36 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes. Irfan Pathan also contributed with a six in the three balls he faced as India Legends made 181/4 in 20 overs. Yuvraj and Yusuf added 85 runs for the 4th wicket.

Sanath Jayasuriya made 43 for Sri Lanka Legend | RSWS In reply, Sri Lanka Legends started off well with Tillakaratne Dilshan making 21 and Sanath Jayasuriya made 43 in 35 balls with five fours and 1 six. Irfan Pathan (2/29) and Yusuf Pathan (2/26) wrecked the Sri Lankan middle-order leaving them 91/4 in 13 overs.

Then Chintaka Jayasinghe (40) and Kaushalya Weeraratne (38 with 3 fours and 3 sixes) came together to add 64 runs for the 5th wicket and gave India Legends a bit of attack to India Legends.

However, India Legend bowlers kept their cool to keep Sri Lanka Legends to 167/7 in 20 overs and won the match by 14 runs.

India Legends won the Road Safety World Series 2021.

The Cricket fraternity and Indian fans lauded the Sachin Tendulkar-led India Legends on becoming the champions on Twitter.
