Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot with sports presenter and anchor Sanjana Ganesan at a private ceremony in Goa on March 15 (Monday).
The couple took to his social media handles to share the news and shared pictures of the wedding ceremony with the couple gazing lovingly at each other as they were performing the pheras.
They wrote: “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.' Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.”
According to media reports, the wedding took place with around 20 people in attendance to ensure COVID-19 norms were followed with no mobile phones were allowed during the wedding ceremonies.
The couple opted for the gorgeous colour co-ordinated outfits from the celebrity designers Sabyasachi Mukherji, Anita Dongre and Kunal Rawal for their dreamy wedding festivities.
For the Haldi ceremony, Jasprit wore an Antar Agni kurta set while Sanjana chose to wear a yellow jamdani sari with floral motifs and Zari detailing from Anavila while the couple opted for Anita Dongre ensembles for their Mehendi function.
She wore a hand-painted lehenga featuring traditional Pichwai art, gota patti hand embroidery and dori, pearls, zari, zardosi, and sequins embellishments all over, while Jasprit sported a white sherwani with embroidery and white pants and mojris under for the Mehendi function.
For the Sangeet ceremony, the cricketer wore a navy Kunal Rawal ensemble with deconstructed silhouette with black embroidery and metal detailing while wore a deep purple lehenga with gotta patti hand embroidery by Anita Dongre.
For their big day, the couple opted for gorgeous colour co-ordinated outfits by Sabyasachi with Bumrah seen in a pale pink embroidered raw silk sherwani paired with a tussar-georgette shawl and Sanjana wore a classic pink bridal lehenga paired with signature heritage jewellery from the designer.
