Irfan Pathan on Saturday (March 13) took a Twitter troll to task after the latter said that the former India all-rounder never had pace in his bowling.
Team India suffered an embarrassing 8-wicket defeat at the hands of England in the first T20I in Ahmedabad on Friday (March 122).
Sharing his opinion on the game, Pathan took to Twitter and wrote: “What was the reason India lost the first t20 vs England? I think PACE was the difference.”
To which, a user commented: “Boss, you never had PACE.”
Irfan, who usually remains calm on social media, gave a befitting reply to the troll, stating that he hasn’t represented India even in a single game yet talking about a player who had swing.
“You never played for India yet you talking to a guy who had swing:)”, Pathan replied.
Irfan Pathan represented India in 29 Tests (1105 runs and 100 wickets), 120 ODIs (1544 runs and 173 wickets) and 24 T20Is (172 runs and 28 wickets). He retired from international cricket in January last year.
