Assam and Rajasthan Royals batsman Riyan Parag had a fanboy moment during a net session, as he was seen copying his hero Virat Kohli’s batting style.

Parag caught the attention of the world in his two seasons in the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Rajasthan Royals, where he was one of the youngest batsmen to score a fifty and take a wicket. He continued his good run in IPL 2020 as well, playing a match-winning innings for his team in a crucial match.

Parag had a decent outing for Assam in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy, scoring half-centuries against Hyderabad, Jharkhand, and Bengal in the tournament. He will be seen in IPL 2021, as Rajasthan Royals retained the youngster who has shown amazing promise with the bat thus far.

He uploaded a video of himself batting like Virat Kohli on Twitter and captioned the post, “Fanboy much xx.”
