England cricketer Alex Hales wasn't too pleased with the food provided to him in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2021. On Thursday (March 4), he took to Instagram to share a picture of the meal with his followers.

Hales, who was part of the Islamabad United camp, got two eggs with a toast and a packet of baked beans. The food wasn't appropriate and he added a couple of 'okay' emojis sarcastically.

PSL, the tournament which got postponed because of the COVID-19 outbreak, was mocked on social media for an ordinary meal to their cricketers. Some of the netizens wrote that they got a better meal for their school tournaments in comparison to this.

After seeing the picture going viral on social media, Hales had to clarify that the picture was shared on a lighter note. He also added that it was the only occasion when the food wasn't appropriate.

"It was one meal where the order was incorrect.. I found it funny, nothing more," he wrote. The Englishman further said the hospitality was admirable. "The food and hospitality here has been excellent, hope this clears it up ????????", added Hales.

The ongoing season of PSL 2021 is currently postponed after seven COVID-19 cases were reported in the competition. The decision was taken in a meeting between the organizing committee and the team owners and management on Thursday (March 4).
