West Indies captain Kieron Pollard ruined Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya's memorable spell by smashing him for 6 sixes in an over. Earlier in the first T20I between West Indies and Sri Lanka, Dananjaya picked up a hat-trick but the joy couldn't last long.
Pollard became only the second batsman to achieve the feat in T20Is and the third in international cricket. Herschelle Gibbs was the first to do it in an ODI against Netherlands during the 2007 World Cup, followed by Yuvraj Singh against England's Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup.
Krunal Pandya, who plays alongside Pollard for Mumbai Indians (MI) in IPL, posted a tweet after the 6 sixes. "Polly my bro, always knew you had it in you to smash six sixes. Pure magic you legend @KieronPollard55," he tweeted.
Pollard, who scored 11-ball 38 runs, was also praised by Harbhajan Singh and Wasim Jaffer. Harbhajan has also shared the dressing room with the Caribbean cricketer during his stint with MI.

Dananjaya had picked up the hat-trick in his second over and went for 6 sixes in the next over. Jaffer highlighted it in his tweet while praising Pollard. "Take a bow @KieronPollard55 !! 666666 Vs a bowler who went WWW in his last over!! Madness! #WIvSL", he posted.
West Indies won the match by four wickets and chased down the target of 132 in 13.1 overs.
