The cricket fans who are in support of the farmers were disappointed with Sachin's tweet. There was also a derogatory trend on Twitter against the ex-India cricketer.
Some of the fans had even gone to Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova's social media accounts to apologize for slamming her after the famous incident in 2014. She was unaware of the India cricketer and had questioned 'who's Sachin?'.
It all started after international pop-star Rihanna's tweet asking why is no one talking about the issue. Sachin and other Indian cricketers had reacted to the situation by tweeting on the same hashtag #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropoganda.
