Four years back, on 26 January, Indian pacer Mohammad Shami had lost his father Tousif Ali. Shami remembered his father on the fourth death anniversary and opened up about his pain.

Shami posted an emotional message with a picture of his father who had passed away because of a heart attack. He wrote about the pain he goes through because of his absence and also prayed for strength.

"4th years complete today . I know you can feel my tears and you don’t won’t me to cry, I pray that god will give me strength as you given always and somehow get me through as i struggle with heartache when I lost you. proud to be your son and miss you so much love you dad! (sic)," the caption read.

Shami has kept his father's picture in his Twitter header ever since his demise in 2017. The fast bowler was with his father during his last moments.
