Pujara has represented the country in 81 Tests, scoring 6111 runs at an impressive average of 47.74, including 18 hundreds and 28 half-centuries.

While Pujara boasts a great record in the familiar conditions of the sub-continent, he also had an invaluable contribution in India’s recent overseas success, especially in Australia where his 521 runs, including three centuries, gave the team its first-ever Test series victory Down Under in 2018-19.

Pujara replicated a similar success during the recently held Test tour of Australia, where he displayed his grit and resolve to amass 271 runs in India’s 2-1 series win.

Pujara, who currently holds the No.7 position in ICC Test rankings for batsmen, has played a key role in taking India to the top spot in the Test Championship points table and he remains a vital cog in the batting wheel for the upcoming assignments.

As Cheteshwar Pujara enters the new season of his life, wishes poured in for him from the Indian cricket team.
