After taking retirement from international cricket last year, Yuvraj Singh plied his trade in overseas tournaments such as Global T20 Canada League, Abu Dhabi T10 League and it seems that the southpaw now misses the thrill of being on the field.
As he turned 39 on December 12, Yuvraj hit the nets for some batting practice. He took to Instagram and uploaded a slow-motion video from his practice session in which he could be seen smashing a six back over the bowler's head.
"Going into the new year like !! Was good to get to be back in the grind . Sometimes it’s important to be away to realise what you Love doing the most thank you everyone for your love and wishes," Yuvraj captioned the video.
Yuvraj Singh burst onto the scene in ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000. Some of his career highlights range from playing a brilliant 69 run knock in the 2002 Natwest final to smashing England's Stuart Broad for six consecutive sixes in the inaugural edition of ICC World T20 and playing an instrumental role in India’s 2011 World Cup triumph.
As the revered cricketer started another fresh season of his life, wishes poured in for him from the Indian cricket fraternity.
