India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Man of the Series in the T20Is against Australia, lauded T Natarajan for being outstanding in his maiden T20I series, helping India win 2-1. Natarajan bagged six wickets in the three-match series.
The 29-year-old took the responsibility really well in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami. Hardik tweeted that Natarajan's talent was on display in the series and he did a good job in tough conditions.
"Natarajan, you were outstanding this series. To perform brilliantly in difficult conditions on your India debut speaks volumes of your talent and hard work. You deserve Man of the Series from my side bhai! Congratulations to #TeamIndia on the win," he tweeted.
Hardik, who had handed over his Man of the Series trophy to Natarajan added that the newcomer deserves it. "I want people to believe in themselves and to achieve anything even if odds are against them. It's just my way of appreciating his hard work over the years. For me, Natarajan deserves the Man of the Series award. To perform so brilliantly on his debut speaks volumes of his belief and the talent he possesses," he told ANI.
The Tamil Nadu pacer, Natarajan had made his international debut in the third ODI on Australia tour and he picked up two wickets.
