West Indies captain Kieron Pollard played his career-best T20I knock on Friday, against New Zealand. He scored 75 unbeaten runs in a rain-affected 16 overs per-side match and also picked up a wicket with the ball.
Unfortunately, Pollard's efforts went in vain after New Zealand successfully chased down the target of 176 in the final over. The man who stole the limelight was Kiwi pacer, Lockie Ferguson, with a five-wicket haul.
The pacer was bowling over 145 kmph consistently, but when Pollard is going hard against the opposition, it's difficult to bowl against him.

Lockie was asked about bowling to Pollard, but before he could answer, the West Indies skipper responded and left everyone in splits.
"As a bowler, you are at the top of your mark, what's it like when you are staring down at Kieron Pollard with a big blade?", asked the reporter after the match. To which, Pollard replied, "I didn't face him much. I was at the other end. Smart boy."
New Zealand won the first match by 5 wickets in the three-match T20I series. The second match will be played on Sunday, November 29.
