“Rather have an enemy who hates me,” Kieron Pollard’s cryptic message leaves fans bewildered

Fans tried to decode the meaning behind Pollard's outburst and the message.

Not only for the West Indies, whom he captains in white-ball cricket but for all the domestic T20 league teams he plays for, his intensity and skills remain unmatched.

Pollard, recently celebrated his 10-year association with Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Joining the franchise in 2010, Pollard has been part of their four title wins in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019.

He has also captained them on occasions in absence of Rohit Sharma, more noticeably in IPL 2020, and has remained a key figure in the MI batting lineup with his immense hitting and finishing skills.

However, he recently put up a highly cryptic message on his Instagram leaving fans confused and searching for answers. “I'd rather have an enemy who admits they hate me, instead of a friend who secretly puts me down," read the image shared by Pollard on Instagram.

While trying to make sense of the post, some users opined that Pollard was talking about SRH's Jason Holder, from who he replaced as white-ball captain for the West Indies, while others suggested that Pollard was referring to Rohit Sharma, who returned to the playing XI after missing four games due to a hamstring injury.

"Enough evidences from the past to prove that he is talking about Rohit Sir," wrote one Twitter user.

"Don't play playoffs Polly. MI is nothing without you..Then only Rohit will understand.." wrote another.

"Is that Jason holder or Rohit," another user asked.

"More to do with holder I think," a user wrote.

Pollard has not cleared the air about his post yet as speculations continue to grow.
