Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri has heaped praise on Ravindra Jadeja for his match-winning cameo for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday (October 29).

Chasing a formidable target of 173, Ruturaj Gaikwad slammed 72 runs off 53 balls to take CSK to commanding position but it was Jadeja who stole the show and sealed the deal for CSK with back-to-back sixes on the last two balls of the game to secure a 6-wicket win against KKR in Dubai.

Jadeja yet again showed his brilliance with the bat, as the all-rounder played an unbeaten knock of 31 runs off just 11 balls including a six and a four off Lockie Ferguson in the 19th over to power CSK to their second consecutive win in a nail-biting encounter.

After Jadeja finished off the game for CSK in style with a brilliant unbeaten cameo, Shastri hailed the all-rounder, who has a love for horses, saying it was great to “see a freewheeling Chakra”.

Shastri took to Twitter to hail Jadeja after the CSK v KKR IPL 2020 game by saying: “Great to see a freewheeling Chakra. Horseman outstanding.”

Noteworthy, CSK got off to a fine start with a 50-run opening partnership between Shane Watson and Gaikwad followed by a 68-run stand between Maharashtra batsman and Ambati Rayudu before KKR got back into the game but Jadeja’s timely knock sealed the win for the franchise.
