Sunil Gavaskar has landed in controversy after his remarks during commentary in the match between RCB and KXIP.

Sunil Gavaskar and Rohan Gavaskar | TwitterBatting legend Sunil Gavaskar found himself in hot water after his remarks during commentary in the 6th game of IPL 2020 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP).

The controversy erupted when Gavaskar on-air said: “ab jo lockdown tha toh unhone [Virat Kohli] sirf Anushka ke saath bowling ki practice ki hai, usse toh kuch bhi nahi banna” (In the lockdown he only practiced with Anushka, that won't help him).

This led to a huge storm on social media which accused Gavaskar of being sexist and using derogatory terms towards Anushka Sharma. The actress also took to Instagram and took serious offense to the former India captain’s statement.

Meanwhile, Sunil Gavaskar's son Rohan Gavaskar has apparently reacted to the controversy.

Taking to Twitter, the junior Gavaskar on Friday (September 25) shared a picture which read: "I love cholocate. Read it again. This is how you fail your exams."

Rohan also added a 'folded hands' emoji in the caption. While the post was totally cryptic, it may seemingly imply that his father has been misquoted and his comments have been blown out of proportions.
