Shocked Indian cricket fraternity pays respects to Dean Jones who passed away at 59

Jones was part of the Star Sports' commentary panel for the ongoing IPL 2020.

Ex-Australia cricketer and renowned cricket analyst Dean Jones passed away due to cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Thursday, September 24. He was part of the Star Sports commentary panel and was staying in a seven-star hotel inside a bio-secure bubble in the city.

The 59-year-old was active with his commentary stint during the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020. The news of Jones' demise has left his friends and co-workers in shock.

Jones, who was born in Melbourne, was part of the Australian cricket team for 52 Test matches and he scored 3631 runs at an average of 46.55. He also made 6068 runs in 164 ODIs for Australia with 7 centuries to his name.
