India's captain Virat Kohli wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday on Thursday (September 17). He got a response from PM Modi who not only thanked him but also congratulated him and wife Anushka Sharma on their pregnancy.

Posting his birthday wish on Twitter, Virat had tweeted, "Wishing a very Happy birthday to our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. @narendramodi."

PM Modi congratulated them both and said they will be amazing parents. "Thank you @imVkohli ! I would also like to congratulate @AnushkaSharma and you. I am sure you will be amazing parents!", he wrote.

Kohli and Anushka took to social media to announce that they are expecting their first child. They are set to welcome a baby in January 2021.

Anushka is currently with Virat, who will be leading Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2020 in the UAE. The couple had celebrated the pregnancy news with RCB teammates at a private beach recently.
